Technically Montclair · Basically Mayfair · Definitely Home
About
The story behind the name.
"Wait...are we technically Montclair?" "Well...kind of" "Or are we Mayfair?" "Sort of"
We're the little in-between pocket of Denver that's hard to define but easy to love. Tree-lined streets. Diverse homes. Great Neighbors. Hidden Gems. A little quirky, a little evolving, and quietly one of the best places in the city to call home!
So around here, we simply call it what it is — THE POCKET.
Founded in 1885 by Baron Walter von Richtofen (yes, uncle of the Red Baron!). Montclair was designed as an upscale alternative to Denver — it was its own independent town! After WWII, the western portion became Mayfair, named after the shopping center that became the heart of the area.
A little history. A lot of Heart! That's THE POCKET.
